Yes. I caved in.

As you may know, I am teacher. I write many adaptive books, and have refused to write a Kwanzaa book. I don't write fiction. However, when I was the online company I work for asked me to pleeeeaaaasssse, I caved in. Point of fact, I wrote a song two years ago about how the holidays are smushed together. I wrote the lyrics and hummed out the tune, and my friend Vinny was nice enough to listen to me and bang it out acoustically. I did the animation in a specialized program so I had to capture using my digital camera and re edit the soundtrack to post it. Enjoy!

Living here in EY, I'm glad my kids have no clue about Xmas...and have never even heard of Kwanza.

The closest they come is Sabba Sukkot.

I'm usre you know who Sabba Sukkot is, right?

He's the guy in the red and white suit with the long white beard...who adorns all the SUKKA decorations you can buy in Meah Shearim or Geula before Sukkot. You know, the tinsel and shiny decorations or the blinking lights?

(Everyone knows thats Sabba Sukkot...he has no other name).

Jameel, It's a shame most Sukkot don't have chimneys for sabba sukkot to come on down...
On another note entirely, since not everyone is a blogger, I take it upon myself to print out what I deem to be the more important things that are posted and distribute them to my "yeshivish" shul. I posted A Letter from Nadia Matar on the bulliten board. The posts get taken down, but they also get passed around. Thank you.
